On Sunday, June 11, the time had come, the companion dog test was held. Ten talented participants and their lovely four-legged friends were there in sunny weather. Eight of the ten participants passed the test!
The companion dog test consists of a multifaceted program that includes both practical and theoretical aspects. The first part, which takes place on the dog field, focuses on the problem-free leadership of the dogs in various tasks. Here, the skills of the participants are evaluated in terms of error-free performance of various exercises. The second part of the test focuses on the dogs' suitability for everyday life. This part takes place in public traffic, where the dogs have to prove their ability to move in the real world and follow the instructions of their owners. The suitability for everyday life is of great importance for a harmonious and trusting relationship between man and dog.
Of course, the physical well-being of the participants and spectators was also provided. A selection of cakes and salad donations was ready. There was a barbecue and the day ended comfortably.
